Mini weekend update
I wanted to share this photo with you. It's a sleeping bird and that guy waving enthusiastically in the background is my father. My camera has a very lousy zoom so I had to get close enough to almost breathe on it. Sorry about all the girly babble that follows. I don't blame you for skipping it. I'm tired, so tired... and yet somehow I seem to have been up and out on the move today. I've just gone shopping with my mother. We even ate out, for the first time in so long... We found lots of nifty things. Mostly clothes. I got two pairs of brown knee-socks, one of them laced at the top and the other pair have 3 skulls sewn in copper lined up vertically by the top. They were so cute I had to get them.. I also got this odd bag skirt thing. It's good being the same size as the display dolls because you can get clothes for so much cheaper than they're usually priced just because some plastic fake person has been wearing them for a while. This skirt would have cost 119€ but I got it for 20€. Very nice price. I also got a new book... The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories by Tim Burton. At first glance, it's typical Tim Burton stuff, so if you like him, you'll love this book. It's got lots of cute little poems and stories as well as some rather sweet, touching, but depressing pictures. I'll write a decent entry on it later on when I find my sapped energy. My mother had bought me Muse's newest album Black Holes and Revelations but I already had it.. so I took it back and exchanged it for Pink Floyd's Obscured by Clouds. I look forward to listening to it. Tomorrow, I'm off to a handycrafts convention to see what sort of exciting things they have, and then to the countryside to visit my grandpa. So unfortunately I probably won't be able to update my page. I've been needle-felting a cat too.. the first thing I've ever really felted.. so I'll put up a photograph and entry on that too when it's done. As some of you have already noticed, I've got some smileys working at last. I'll be going through those, trying to get them all made into a more matching set, so don't be surprised if the smiley you've used suddenly changes. Oh, except the breasted banana.
